Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to the development of computer systems that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. These tasks include learning, reasoning, problem-solving, perception, and language understanding. AI systems are designed to mimic cognitive functions, enabling them to analyze data, make decisions, and adapt to different situations.Visit: Artificial Intelligence Classes in Pune

There are two main types of AI: Narrow AI (or Weak AI) and General AI (or Strong AI).

  1. Narrow AI (Weak AI): This type of AI is designed and trained for a specific task. Examples include virtual personal assistants (like Siri or Alexa), image and speech recognition software, and recommendation algorithms used by online platforms.

  2. General AI (Strong AI): This is a hypothetical form of AI that possesses the ability to understand, learn, and apply knowledge across a wide range of tasks—similar to human intelligence. As of now, true General AI does not exist, and AI systems are typically narrow or specialized in their capabilities.

How AI is Used:

  1. Machine Learning (ML): ML is a subset of AI that involves the development of algorithms that allow computers to learn from data. This is used in various applications, such as spam filters, recommendation systems, and autonomous vehicles.

  2. Natural Language Processing (NLP): NLP enables computers to understand, interpret, and generate human language. This is used in chatbots, language translation, and sentiment analysis.

  3. Computer Vision: AI is employed in computer vision to enable machines to interpret and make decisions based on visual data. This is used in facial recognition, object detection, and autonomous vehicles.

  4. Speech Recognition: AI-powered speech recognition systems convert spoken language into text. This is used in virtual assistants, voice-operated devices, and transcription services.
